Due to some extreme temperatures across the country, we strongly advise all shipping orders to go Fedex 2nd day air to avoid damage to your order. If you choose not to ship 2nd day, we will ship during weather permitting times. This could mean that your shipment will be postponed for a month or longer until temperatures warm back up. Crafted from the pioneering Willamette Valley Vineyards of Hyland (planted in 1971) and Chehalem Mountain Vineyard (Dick Erath's very first Oregon Vineyard planted in 1969), this small lot of Riesling really sings of the great potential for this varietal in Oregon. Extremely elegant and nectar-like floral notes of night-blooming jasmine and rock daphne burst from the glass and swirl around and through the lime, quinine, petrol, saline and mineral flavors. Sweet baking spices lace this round and viscous wine that is both mouth filling and extremely balanced at the same time. Mouthwatering citrus tinged acidity with a delicate balance of sweetness and dry extract makes this wine juicy to the core and extremely food friendly or the perfect aperitif. This is very reminiscent of a great Kabinett from Germany's Mosel Valley, but even better....It's from Oregon, which makes it perfect for every dish we enjoy during the spring and summer months; from fresh mushroom dishes, trout and salmon plates, cheese courses, fresh oysters and mussels, crab or even just to help you along as you warm up the coals on the barbecue. This is a great Riesling, packed with potential! Drink now through 2016.
