This wine fills the glass with dark, crimson red color. The deep and complex nose is a swirling mixture of toasted bread, incense, Asian spices, blueberry and black cherry, roses, violets wet volcanic rock and Bresaola (dried beef.)
This Terroir driven wine is tightly wound and youthful (considering this ripe vintage) with condensed cherry fruit flavors, mineral flavors of red rock and firmly compacted fine, sweet tannin. This HUGE wine is laced with a juicy acidity and a sweetness to it that makes it seem too lithe to be what it really is...a wine with huge potential for early drinking or extended aging. Drink 2012-2021.
